Tagmotion. A powerful search tool for video
Tagmotion is a web-based video search tool that makes video more discoverable in websites & online communities.
Unlike keyword tags, it works by presenting the viewer with a clickable table of contents.
Just like a book’s table of contents, the Tagmotion search tool provides a high-level overview of what’s available to be watched.
But unlike the table of contents in a book, the tags are clickable, revealing more tags at lower levels that describe the content in more detail, allowing the viewer to discover more content with more precision and ease.
As a browsing and search tool for video, this makes Tagmotion a bit like a tag cloud on steroids.
Video ‘curators’ can create the tags as ‘headlines’, which makes Tagmotion a tool for self-expression more than a clinical classification tool.
It can convey the curator’s passion, expertise and personality in the way they tag the video. And this makes browsing Tagmotion a whole lot more meaningful and powerful than browsing a sea of keywords in a tag cloud.
Or the ‘hit or miss’ of keyword search.
Currently in Beta, Tagmotion is a search tool that allows users to index videos from Youtube.
It will soon be available as a search tool that can be embedded into any website, generating more engagement, page views and revenue potential (free with advertising, or ad-free via subscription).
